In the field of machinery manufacturing, molds play a crucial role. They are key tools for achieving efficient and precise production, and different types of molds have unique applications in the manufacture of various mechanical products.

1. Stamping Dies
Stamping dies utilize a press to apply pressure to sheet metal, causing it to separate or undergo plastic deformation to obtain the desired parts. Stamping dies can be divided into blanking dies, bending dies, and drawing dies. Blanking dies are mainly used to separate sheet metal along closed contours; for example, blanking dies are used for cutting the edges of metal casings in electronic devices. Bending dies bend sheet metal into specific angles and shapes, such as the bending and forming of metal brackets in automobile manufacturing. Drawing dies can produce open, hollow parts from sheet metal; for example, stainless steel sinks for kitchens are manufactured using drawing dies. Stamping dies are widely used in the automotive, electronics, and home appliance industries, offering advantages such as high production efficiency and stable precision.

2. Injection Molds
Injection molds are tools used to produce plastic products. They inject molten plastic into a mold cavity under high pressure using an injection molding machine, where it cools and solidifies to obtain the molded product. Injection molds have a relatively complex structure, typically consisting of a fixed mold and a moving mold. The fixed mold is mounted on a stationary platen of the injection molding machine, while the moving mold is mounted on a moving platen. Injection molds can produce plastic products of various shapes and sizes, such as toys, mobile phone casings, and automotive interior parts. Due to the good plasticity and economic efficiency of plastics, injection molds dominate the production of plastic products.

3. Die Casting Molds
Die casting molds are used for pressure casting. They are tools used to fill the cavity of a die casting mold with liquid or semi-liquid metal at high speed under high pressure, and then solidify it under pressure to obtain a casting. Die casting molds are mainly used to manufacture metal castings such as aluminum alloys and zinc alloys, and are widely used in the automotive, motorcycle, and aerospace industries. For example, many important components of automobile engines, such as the cylinder block and cylinder head, are manufactured using die casting molds. Die casting molds produce castings with advantages such as high precision, good surface quality, and high strength and hardness.

4. Forging Dies

Forging dies are tools used for forming and separating parts in forging processes. They utilize impact or pressure to cause plastic deformation of metal at high temperatures, thereby obtaining forgings of the desired shape and size. Forging dies can be classified into hammer forging dies, hot forging dies, and warm forging dies. Hammer forging dies are suitable for the mass production of small forgings, such as blanks for various mechanical parts. Hot forging dies are used for high-temperature forging and can withstand greater impact and pressure, often used to manufacture large shafts, gears, and other parts. Forgings produced by forging dies have a dense internal structure and good mechanical properties, and have important applications in aerospace, shipbuilding, and machinery manufacturing.
